Description:		Residents are encourage to understand Michigan Fireworks Law: Statute 750.243a defines fireworks as a device made from explosive or flammable compositions used primarily for the purpose of producing a visible display, audible effect, or both, by combustion, deflagration, or detonation. Michigan Law specifically prohibits all consumer fireworks except for the following: Reporting of Illegal Fireworks: If a firework goes up into the air and or is an explosive device per the Michigan Fireworks Law it is illegal.

Description:		On Aug. 5, 2008, from 5:30-8pm, Pittfield Twp. Department of Public Safety and Target Stores will host "National Night Out" crime, fire prevention, and family safety awareness night. Community groups throughout Washtenaw County will be registering community member to participate in their public safety watch group. Please encourage neighbors to attend this important networking event. There will be displays, resource materials, community health care information for children and families, entertainment, and free raffle prizes.

Description:		All residental and business areas of Pittsfield Township are being asked by the Fire Marshal to clear any and all obstructions around fire hydrants throughout the township. Ordinance F-316.1 "Blocking fire hydrants and fire deparement connections and fire department access". In order to assure that we can provide fire supression to your homes we need to be able to access the local hydrants as quickly as possible. Your immediate assistance in clearing the areas around the hydrants would be appreciated. Thanks
